Emergency Assistance
The Emergency Assistance program offers financial help to low and no-income individuals who are facing eviction or utility shut-off. This program exists because we believe the working poor can be helped. Persons who have income problems are often in health crisis or caught in a job market that is unstable. The working poor and their children are more frequently the face of Covenant House.
This assistance is reserved for those needs identified as emergency. Covenant House is visited by persons facing termination of utilities or eviction from their homes. We establish monetary limits and time eligibility to encourage freedom from system dependency.
