Charleston's World AIDS Day commemoration begins with YOGAid, a yoga session with instructor Dan Connery, at 5:00. No admission charge, but donations for AIDS charities are gratefully accepted. Asbury United Methodist Church (501 Elizabeth Street)
A short World AIDS Day commemorative service will begin at 6:00 PM in Asbury's chapel. During the service, the 2009 WV Red Ribbon Award recipient will be announced.
At 6:30, participants will step on in a candlelight procession toward the Living AIDS Memorial Garden on the 1600 block of Washington Street East, where the "reading of the names" will be held and refreshments will be served.
