See eleven colossal, incredible structures designed and built by local design teams completely from canned food. Select your favorite for the "People's Choice" award.
“This event is a perfect opportunity for engineering and architectural firms, as well as other types of businesses and civic groups, to showcase their talents while supporting a local food relief program,” said Phil Warnock from Chapman Technical Group.
All canned goods used in building will go to the Covenant House Food Pantry, a Second Harvest Food Bank.
“We’ve seen a huge increase in the number of individuals and families requesting food assistance. Without this event, we couldn’t meet the current need that exists,” said Amy Weintraub, Executive Director of Covenant House.
Co-sponsored locally by Covenant House and AIA-WV, Canstruction is a trademarked charity event of the design and construction industry produced under the auspices of the Society of Design Administration (SDA).
